How is my CRS score calculated?

PR Buddy uses the official 1,200-point Comprehensive Ranking System formula published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) — every multiplier, cap, and transferability rule modeled exactly. Scores are computed locally on your device from the profile information you enter.

Is my data stored or shared?

No. All profile data stays on your device. PR Buddy does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.

How does the app suggest ways to improve my score?

After calculating your score, PR Buddy ranks every possible improvement by points-per-effort — quick wins first, long plays second. Each suggestion includes an estimated timeline so you know what to focus on across language scores, education, work experience, and bonus factors.

Can I compare multiple profiles?

Yes. You can create separate profiles for yourself, your spouse, or different planning scenarios. Each profile gets its own full CRS breakdown so you can see exactly how each one stacks up against the latest draw cutoff.

How often is draw history updated?

Draw history is updated whenever IRCC publishes new Express Entry invitation rounds — Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Provincial Nominee, French-language, and category-based draws. Open the app and pull to refresh to see the latest data.

Are the scores and draw data official?

Score estimates and draw data are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute immigration advice. Always verify your score and eligibility with an authorized immigration consultant or directly with IRCC.

How do I delete my profile?

Tap the profile you want to remove, scroll to the bottom, and select "Delete profile". All data is removed from your device immediately.
